PAGE 34 I LAKES COAST VISITOR GUIDE TARRA TERRITORY - YARRAM AND DISTRICT Your choice of 16 waterfalls to visit with a brochure to guide you all the way The region is blessed with so many waterfalls. Sixteen have been chosen for inclusion in a new free Waterfalls Brochure, which is available at visitor information centres. Some are easy to reach and others more remote and difficult. It is important you take this into account. Information on each waterfall includes: • Photograph and description. • Driving instructions and road surface. • Approximate walking time and distance from car park and degree of walking difficulty. • Facilities at falls (if any). • GPS coordinates. Agnes Falls is one of the many waterfalls in Tarra Territory and if you only have time to visit one, this would be the sensible choice. Near Toora, it is one of the area’s best known waterfalls and quite easy to get to by car and then an easy stroll from the car park. Agnes Falls has good facilities for picnicking and great opportunities for photography. It makes for an ideal family day or worth a look if you are travelling on the South Gippsland Highway and have half an hour to spare. Agnes Falls is also close to Port Welshpool, which is worth a visit to see the Long Jetty.
