There are several rest areas and toilet facilities, with the lovely riverside park providing a play area for the kids. Recently opened is the Mountain Bike Pump Track and Skills Park at the Omeo Rotunda. The track is ideal for riders of all ages and heaps of fun. If you're into bikes or art, also keep an eye out for the quirky timber bicycle sculptures that are dotted throughout the town. A self-guided walk through town provides an insight into the heritage buildings and the history of the town. The Historical Park and Justice Precinct are not to be missed. Step back in time and visit Omeo's Oriental Mining Claims, where the story unfolds of a prosperous time when Omeo was home to one of the largest gold sluicing operations in the world.
